SBS Prism Tower, filming location of K-POP Star and other popular programs

SBS Prism Tower, which is located near the Sangam-dong DMC in Mapo-gu, Seoul, is where the popular SBS program "K-POP Star Season 3" is filmed, so it is often visited by Hallyu fans. The Digital Media City Station (Airport Railroad Line) area is home to not only SBS Prism Tower but a large "media town" of various broadcasting networks, including MBC, CJ E&M, and YTN. Fans flock to this area via the Airport Railroad Line in order to see live program broadcasts.

In particular, SBS Prism Tower boasts a broadcasting studio building that was awarded the 2013 Korean Architecture Award for Excellence. The easiest way to reach it is by walking about 100 meters from Exit 9 of Digital Media City Station (Airport Railroad line).

Befitting its name, the color of the SBS Prism Tower changes according to the time of day and season by the way the sun and sky is reflected in its walls. Its ten floors house studios and broadcast editing rooms for programs such as Star Junior Show Bunggeoppang, K-POP Star, The Show and Fashion King. However, the general public is allowed access to only the first floor, which contains a cafe and art exhibits.
